SKOPELOS

ISLAND

HILLS. VIEWS. HORIZONS.

THE ISLAND

Skopelos is a green and welcoming island in the Northern Sporades, known for its clear waters, relaxed atmosphere and authentic Greek character. The island covers around 96 km² and has a population of less then 5,000 residents, most of them live in Skopelos Town (Chora) or Glossa. With its whitewashed houses, many small chapels and beautiful beaches, Skopelos offers a quiet setting with a strong local identity.

Whether you are walking through pine covered hills, enjoying a meal at a waterfront taverna or visiting well known spots like the “Mamma Mia” chapel, Skopelos invites you to slow down and enjoy island life at a comfortable, natural pace.

VILLAGES

GLOSSA

Set high above the sea, Glossa is a peaceful village full of charm and character, just a few minutes’ drive from the villa. Discover handmade goods in tiny shops, taste traditional dishes in family-run tavernas, and enjoy the quiet elegance of a place where time seems to slow.

SKOPELOS TOWN

Located on a hillside above a small harbour, Skopelos Town is known for its whitewashed houses, colourful shutters and bright bougainvillea. Walk through its narrow alleys, visit hidden chapels, browse local shops and enjoy the lively waterfront tavernas with views of the Aegean Sea. It is a vibrant yet timeless town where you can experience the genuine spirit of the island.

NEO KLIMA

Set along the island’s west coast, Neo Klima is a laid-back seaside village embraced by pine forests and crystal-clear waters. Stroll the quaint marina or swim at nearby beaches. This peaceful spot offers a perfect blend of authentic Greek life and relaxing coastal beauty.

BEACHES

KASTANI

Most of the beach scenes from Mamma Mia! were filmed at Kastani Beach. If you remember the beach bar from the movie, this is where Tanya performs “Does Your Mother Know”, and where the long wooden jetty appeared in the scene with the dancing “Beach Boys” during “Lay All Your Love on Me.”
Both the original bar and the jetty were removed after filming, but the beautiful beach and a new beach bar remain for everyone to enjoy today.

MILIA

Known for its long stretch of white pebbles and breathtaking sunsets, Milia Beach is a haven for swimmers and snorkelers. Enjoy views of tiny Dasia Island offshore, lounge under the shade of pines, or take a peaceful walk along the shore at one of Skopelos’ most stunning beaches.

LIMONARI

Limnonari is a beautiful beach with clear, green-blue water, soft sand, and a calm, sheltered bay that’s perfect for families. Surrounded by lush greenery, it feels peaceful and private. You can swim in the calm sea, enjoy a meal at a seaside taverna, and fully relax in this tranquil setting.

SIGHTSEEING

Agios Ioannis Chapel

The Agios Ioannis Chapel sits high on a rocky cliff and became famous as the wedding location in Mamma Mia. After climbing the 100 steps, you’ll be rewarded with beautiful views over the Aegean Sea and the coastline. The best time to visit is in the morning, ideally at sunrise, when the light is soft and the wind is still calm. This small and iconic chapel is a peaceful place to enjoy and a lovely spot for memorable photos.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Skopelos is easily reached via Skiathos Airport (JSI), with daily flights from Athens and seasonal routes from across Europe. From Skiathos, ferries and high-speed boats connect travelers to Skopelos Town and Glossa in about 10–30 minutes. Glossa port is the closest and most convenient option for reaching the villa.

Alternatively, ferries from Volos reach both ports directly. We recommend booking your flights and ferry tickets well in advance, especially during peak season, to ensure a smooth and stress-free journey.
